The City of Tshwane has committed to addressing rising crime rates and service delivery challenges in Wierdapark through a comprehensive action plan, including joint operations with police and community stakeholders.
Tshwane spokesperson Lindela Mashigo said they understand the frustrations of the community of Wierdapark. Mashigo said a comprehensive plan will be looked into, which will address the problems facing the Wierdapark community.

"Multi by-law enforcement operations will be conducted in conjunction with the police to tackle vandalism, drug peddling, and the broader criminality - there will be drastic action taken," he said. Mashigo added it is important that the respective councillors and stakeholders are identified to establish joint solutions, which are inclusive of the community to manage and contain some social issues in the suburb.
